This role requires regular attendance at our Cardiff office. We therefore ask that applicants are based within a reasonable commuting distance to the office.

The role

Working as part of the Cardiff based services team as a Team Leader, you will lead and support a team to deliver high-quality services that meet customer needs. You will oversee performance, motivate colleagues, and promote a positive, inclusive culture aligned with Scope's values.

You will play a key role in safeguarding, service improvement, and problem-solving, ensuring service users remain safe and supported. Working with internal and external stakeholders, you will also contribute to projects that help develop and enhance our services.

You will:

Lead, manage, and engage inclusively, providing effective support, guidance, and direction to your team, customers, and colleagues.

Motivate colleagues and champion colleague wellbeing through the above.

Oversee service programme delivery, impact, and outcome targets and ensure these are appropriately captured and recorded taking action where expected standards are not attained.

Keep customers and colleagues safe through the effective use and implementation of policy and processes within your team - not letting poor performance go unchallenged.

Maintain professional competence and performance, actively and positively engaging your work and the wider work of Scope.

Share and promote the work of your service and Scope positively within your worktime and beyond.

Work flexibly, supporting the management of changing priorities, service requirements, and outputs.

About you

We're looking for a confident and supportive leader with experience of delivering services within a relevant support environment. You will have a strong track record of driving positive change, supporting colleagues through periods of development, and achieving service performance targets and KPIs.

We're looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills who can build strong relationships, manage competing priorities, and support colleagues through change. A collaborative, flexible approach and a passion for delivering high-quality, customer-focused services are essential.

You will have:

Demonstrable experience in delivering support within the relevant service field.

Demonstrates a proven track in supporting positive change and improvement and supporting colleagues.

Experience of delivering service KPIs.

Aligned to the 'Social model of disability' approach.

Able to take on a management perspective with an open outlook and willingness to work across boundaries.

Demonstrates a facilitative style to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships.

Excellent communication skills, strong organisational skills, and experience in a customer-facing role.

Ability to be flexible, respond positively to change, work effectively under pressure, and deal with conflicting priorities.

Ability to support colleagues positively through change.
