The opportunity

TSR Legal are delighted to be working with a modern, tech-enabled law firm who are currently seeking an experienced Conveyancing Team Manager to join their growing Cardiff office. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic legal professional to take on a leadership role at one of the UK’s most innovative property law firms.

The firm blends cutting-edge technology with a strong people-first ethos. They’re on a mission to transform the home-moving experience—and they’re looking for a talented people leader to support that vision.

The Role

As Conveyancing Team Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of a team of Property Lawyers, ensuring excellent service delivery and high performance across the board. You’ll play a pivotal role in managing team performance, developing legal talent, and embedding a positive, inclusive team culture.

This is a hands‑on leadership position, ideal for someone with both deep conveyancing knowledge and a genuine passion for people development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Property Lawyers to deliver high-quality, efficient conveyancing services
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee individual and team performance using a structured skills matrix
  • Manage workload distribution and resource planning to ensure consistent productivity
  • Support the development and delivery of personal development plans and ongoing training
  • Lead on people management issues including performance improvement, absence, and recruitment
  • Act as a key escalation point for service queries or complaints
  • Contribute to departmental change initiatives and cross-team collaboration
  • Work closely with senior management on budgeting, salary reviews, and business planning
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and external compliance standards
About You

We’re looking for a driven and professional individual who brings:

  • Extensive residential conveyancing experience – you’ll be confident handling complex transactions and guiding others
  • Proven team management skills – with a track record of developing and leading high-performing legal teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – able to motivate, mentor, and influence
  • A proactive mindset – with the confidence to lead through change and drive continuous improvement
  • A genuine commitment to service excellence and staff wellbeing
What’s on Offer

In return, you’ll receive a comprehensive benefits package, a vibrant team culture, and the chance to be part of a firm that’s genuinely reshaping the legal landscape.

This is more than a management role—it’s an opportunity to join a forward-thinking firm with big ambitions, where your leadership will directly influence the client experience, the team culture, and the success of the wider business.
