Design Director

Wales and West. In this highly strategic role, you will drive business development, be responsible for revenue generation, recruitment and growing the team as well as shape the creative direction of projects. The role will provide the opportunity to work with the Head of Design, Head of Wales and West and other senior Directors in shaping regional and national business growth and direction.

Job Summary and key responsibilities Reporting to the Head of Design, you will contribute to the delivery of significant projects involving strategic master planning, concept design, layouts, design documents and detailed planning applications.

• Background Training - Degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Architectural Technology or Civil Engineering
• Be an Associate Director/Director in an established design practice or developer in the UK
• Have a minimum of 15 years' experience in the UK residential industry
• Have a, demonstrable track record of consented and delivered residential led projects in the Wales and West
• Have a demonstrable client following and reputation in the Wales and West
• Have excellent knowledge of local authorities in the Wales and West
• Demonstrate, at least 5 years' experience of leading teams and mentoring staff
• Demonstrate excellent experience of financial management
• Be motivated and relentless in shaping the vision to continue to grow a highly successful Design presence in the Wales and West
