Soldering Technician
42.5 hours per week
Monday - 06:00 to 17:45
Tues-Thurs - 06:00 to 17:15
These work times are mandatory.
?13.27 p/h, with opportunities for overtime and long-term career progression.
We are currently recruiting experienced Soldering Technicians to work in a busy clean production environment for a global telecommunications company.
We are looking for people who can produce high quality precision work, have an eye for detail and are skilled in soldering.
Responsibilities- Perform precision soldering and assembly of electronic components in accordance with manufacturing standards, work instructions and quality requirements.
- May be trained in fibre optic handling & splicing in the state‑of‑the‑art Training School facilities based on site in Greenwich, SE London.
- Soldering & Assembly:
Perform through‑hole and surface‑mount (SMT) soldering. - Hand solder wires, connectors, and terminals.
- Operate soldering irons.
- Install and secure components per technical drawings.
- Ensure compliance with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A‑610).
- Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures.
- Manual handling, lifting of heavy objects, manual dexterity, and periods of sitting or standing.
