Mechanical Assembly Technician

We are recruiting for a growing and innovative business looking for a hands‑on Mechanical Assembly Technician to support the assembly, maintenance, and day‑to‑day operation of the production facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced workshop professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards, leading by example, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

This role will be working a day shift of 7am-3:30pm.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Lead assembly and production activities to meet quality and output targets.
  • Maintain a clean, organised workshop in line with 5S principles.
  • Ensure PPE compliance and uphold health & safety standards.
  • Carry out basic equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Use and maintain workshop tools and machinery safely.
  • Support stock control of materials and consumables.
  • Operate forklifts to unload, move, and store goods.
  • Drive continuous improvements in workshop performance and efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within a workshop, manufacturing, production, or heavy plant environment.
  • Strong understanding of how a busy shop floor operates.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Hands‑on experience using workshop tools and equipment.
  • Understanding of preventative maintenance practices.
  • Valid Forklift Licence.
