Steel Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Steel Fabricator to join our clients manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating steel sections and structures with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.

Duties

* Cutting, shaping, and assembling steel fabrications using various fabrication techniques

* Performing MIG welding and other welding processes to join metal parts securely

* Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment safely and effectively

* Reading and interpreting technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication

* Conducting quality inspections on finished products to meet specifications

* Assisting in the assembly of fabricated components into larger structures or systems where required in the factory

* Maintaining a clean, organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency

Skills

* Fully qualified in fabrication & welding

* Strong knowledge of fabrication processes for structural steel

* Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment

* Mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of assembly procedures

* Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and drawing interpretation

* Familiarity with safety protocols related to welding and metal fabrication environments

* Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail

* Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
