We are looking for a motivated and reliable Filler Operative to join our Production Team. This is a hands‑on role operating filling and packaging equipment to ensure the safe, efficient, and high‑quality production of finished products.
Working as part of a busy manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for maintaining production standards, minimising waste, completing quality checks, and ensuring all health and safety requirements are met. The role involves working a rotating day and night shift pattern and offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and growing business.
Key Responsibilities- Operate filling machinery safely and efficiently to achieve production targets.
- Carry out cleaning, sterilisation and routine machine maintenance activities.
- Complete pre‑production, safety and quality checks, ensuring all documentation is accurately maintained.
- Monitor machine performance and minimise product and packaging waste.
- Ensure the correct packaging materials are used and product coding is accurate.
- Report equipment issues, spillages, defects or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards through a "clean as you go" approach.
- Work closely with Team Leaders and colleagues to ensure production plans are achieved.
- Follow all food safety, quality, health and safety, and hygiene procedures.
- This role supports the overall site delivery and Technical teams to ensure quality, legality, food safety, brand integrity and culture is driven and compliant.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment is desirable.
- Experience operating machinery would be advantageous.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills with the ability to complete records accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to shift work.
- Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
