Position: Head of PR & Media (Permanent)
A fast-growing, award-winning marketing agency based in Cardiff, working with ambitious brands across the UK and beyond. Our integrated team delivers bold, strategic campaigns spanning PR, media relations, digital, content, and brand strategy.

As they enter an exciting new phase of growth, they are looking for an experienced, commercially minded Head of PR & Media to lead their PR offering, elevate their media presence, and drive strategic growth for both clients and the agency.

The Role

This is a senior leadership position with full responsibility for shaping and scaling their PR and media division. You'll lead strategy, nurture media relationships, inspire a high-performing team, and play a key role in agency leadership and business development.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and lead the agency's PR and media strategy

Oversee the creation and delivery of integrated PR campaigns

Build and maintain strong national and regional media relationships

Provide senior counsel to clients and act as a strategic advisor

Identify and secure new business opportunities

Lead, mentor, and grow the PR & Media team

Manage budgets, forecasting, and performance metrics

Enhance the agency's reputation and thought leadership presence

About You

They are looking for a strategic thinker and confident leader with a strong media network and a track record of delivering impactful PR campaigns.

Essential:

8+ years' experience in PR, ideally within an agency environment

Proven experience in a senior leadership role

Strong national and trade media contacts

Demonstrable success in delivering measurable PR campaigns

Experience in new business pitching and client growth

Exceptional communication and leadership skills

Desirable:

Experience across B2B and B2C sectors

Crisis communications expertise

Digital PR and influencer marketing experience

Commercial acumen with P&L responsibility

Salary up to £52,000pa
