The Brand Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the UK marketing strategy for assigned products within a growing portfolio. Currently, the portfolio is Ophthalmology focused but they are looking to expand this.

The role will lead UK product planning, positioning, launch readiness, customer engagement and performance monitoring, ensuring global strategies are appropriately adapted to UK market needs, healthcare pathways, competitor activity and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement UK product and marketing plans aligned with overall business strategy, portfolio priorities and growth objectives.
  • Adapt global brand strategies, positioning, messaging and materials for the UK market, ensuring local relevance and compliance.
  • Lead UK marketing planning and support launch readiness for new products, coordinating activities across relevant functions.
  • Develop and implement customer engagement and omnichannel marketing activities across digital, face-to-face, congress and other appropriate channels.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer insights, NHS developments, product performance and sales data to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Work closely with Sales and other customer-facing functions to ensure effective implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and relevant external stakeholders, including HCPs, KOLs and key decision-makers.
  • Ensure all marketing activities and materials comply with applicable legislation, industry codes, company policies and internal approval processes.
  • Support product marketing budgets, forecasting and resource prioritisation, ensuring appropriate cost control and return on investment.
  • Drive continuous improvement in marketing, launch planning, customer engagement and cross-functional ways of working.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Compliance and Global Marketing.

Experience

Required:

  • University degree, preferably in Life Sciences or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience within the pharmaceutical industry, including substantial experience in brand, marketing or commercial roles.
  • Experience of product or brand management and product launches.
