Senior Digital Content ProducerWe are recruiting for 2x Senior Digital Content Producers to join the Digital Communications team at Cardiff University.
It’s an exciting time to join Cardiff University as we embark on a period of transformation. This multi-year body of work is designed to create a ‘one University’ approach to structures, processes and systems.
An experienced content producer, you’ll lead website builds and content creation for key transformation projects, shaping user journeys, crafting web pages, and producing multifunctional digital content for an array of channels including web, social, email and more.
Your primary focus will be website builds. Analysing business need, defining website architectures, writing compelling copy and producing CMS content, you’ll work closely with in-house designers, developers and marketeers to ensure the web pages you create meet strategic transformation objectives and are tailored to a wide range of university audiences.
Away from web builds, you’ll get plenty of opportunity to use additional content production skills across our wider digital channels, as you create and adapt content to fit seamlessly into marketing and communications campaigns for maximum exposure and longevity.
Your strong communication and stakeholder management skills will see you make evidence-based decisions about the best way to present information, identify user needs, develop content plans for multiple channels, and create high-quality digital content and experiences for our audiences.
You’ll also form strong relationships with both digital and non-digital University stakeholders, ensuring content published adheres to University brand and style guides and conforms to digital best practice. Where appropriate, you will provide guidance and training on digital skills and standards to content contributors across the institution.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience of leading and delivering web projects and significant capability of stakeholder management. Additional creative skills in other areas of digital content production, communication or marketing are highly desirable – if you can help us bring our stories to life across our digital channels, or you know what it takes to make content perform well in algorithms;
we’d like to hear from you.
This role is full-time (35 hours per week), fixed term for 15 months from the start of employment.
Salary: £41,064 - £46,049 per annum (Grade
6)
Closing date:
Friday, 9 October 2026
