We’re looking for a highly creative, hands‑on Director of Marketing who leads towards a clear vision . You’ll own Redsquid’s marketing end to end: strategy, brand, demand generation and the team that delivers it. You’ll keep us evolving, trying new ideas before the rest of the industry does. This is a player‑coach role: you’ll set direction and still write the brief, build the dashboard and ship the page yourself.
AboutRedsquid
Redsquid is a UK-based, B Corp-certified MSSP and MSP. We bring together telecoms, IT managed services, connectivity, cybersecurity and AI services, backed by our own UK-based SOC and the ASPECT AI/ML platform.
We’re growing through a buy‑and‑build strategy, with a £250m revenue ambition and several acquisitions already behind us. Every employee is a shareholder through our EMI scheme, so the growth is shared. As Director of Marketing, you’ll also join our leadership EMI scheme.
Key responsibilitiesStrategy and planning
- Build and own the group marketing strategy, tied directly to sales targets and the £250m growth plan
- Set the annual marketing plan and budget, and report on return against it
- Define our positioning across telecoms, managed IT, connectivity, cyber and AI services
Brand
- Own the Redsquid brand and design system, and keep every touchpoint consistent with it
- Lead the website and content programme, including the pages now in development
- Tell the story of what makes us different: B Corp status, our UK SOC, ASPECT, and employee ownership
Creativity and innovation
- Set a bold creative vision for how Redsquid shows up, and bring the team with you
- Keep us ahead of the industry: spot new channels, formats and ideas early, and act on them
- Run a steady stream of small experiments, keep what works, and drop what doesn’t quickly
- Challenge the conventions of IT and telecoms marketing so we stand out, not blend in
Demand generation (hands on)
- Plan and run campaigns across digital, email, events, partner and account‑based marketing
- Build a pipeline engine with Sales, with clear lead definitions, handover rules and shared targets
- Get into the detail yourself: briefs, copy, campaign builds, CRM and marketing automation
Acquisitions and integration
- Bring acquired brands, customers and marketing teams into the Redsquid brand quickly and well
- Plan customer communications through each acquisition
Partners and internal communications
- Work with our Partner team on vendor co‑marketing and funding
- Support internal and employer brand communications, including recruitment marketing
Team leadership
- Lead, coach and grow the marketing team, hiring for the roles the capacity plan shows we need
- Manage agencies and freelancers where they add more than an in‑house hire
You’ll build a marketing function designed around AI from the start, not one that adds AI later. We expect you to use these tools daily yourself and to plan headcount with them in mind.
- Map the marketing workflow and decide which tasks AI handles, which people own, and where they work together
- Build a capacity plan that shows the output each hire adds on top of AI, before we approve new roles
- Use AI across content, research, personalisation, campaign operations and reporting, with clear quality and brand checks
- Set rules for accuracy, data protection and client confidentiality in AI‑generated work
- Train the team to work this way, and measure the time saved and quality gained
- Work with our AI Transformation and Enablement team to share what works across the group
- Use our own AI services as live case studies, so marketing shows clients what we sell
- A marketing strategy and plan agreed with the exec team within the first 90 days
- A clear creative vision for the brand that the team and the…
