Business Development & Communications Manager About the Role
This is a part-time role (28h per week), however, we are open to flexing hours down for the right person.
1 year fixed-term with a possibility of extension.
We’re looking for a confident communicator and relationship-builder to help grow two flagship diversity projects in Welsh housing and governance. This role will focus on securing support, building partnerships and raising the profile of work that improves ethnic representation in leadership and employment.
The Business Development and Communications Manager plays a central role in the growth, sustainability and visibility of two major initiatives designed to increase ethnic minority representation in housing organisations and on boards. You’ll help secure the support, partnerships and communications needed to deliver meaningful, measurable change.
You will:
- Secure new funding to expand opportunities and strengthen long‑term sustainability
- Build strategic partnerships across housing, public sector, community organisations and Welsh employers
- Increase awareness so the projects are recognised and valued by partners and participants
- Deliver compelling communications that showcase impact, lived experience and the value of diverse work forces and leadership.
- Showcase the projects as essential, high‑impact work that provides practical solutions for organisations across Welsh housing and governance.
You’ll collaborate with colleagues and member organisations to plan and deliver activity building shared expertise, networks and resources. You’ll also translate project outcomes and participant experiences into clear messages for funders, partners, members and stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone who can spot opportunities, build momentum and communicate impact with confidence.
