GVC is supporting a
friendly, established first-opinion small animal practice in North Cambridgeshire
. The team offers a genuinely supportive environment, a varied caseload, and the opportunity to work cases up properly with the time, kit and backing to develop your clinical interests.

The practice is well equipped with:

• Digital X-ray
• Ultrasound
• Air-powered dental equipment
• In-house lab analysers (IDEXX) and standard first-opinion kit

What You’ll Do

This role is suited to a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys delivering consistent, high-quality GP care while building confidence and capability over time. You will:

• Provide high standards of patient care across consults and surgery
• Work cases up to completion where appropriate, using available diagnostics to support good clinical decisions
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, outlining options and treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with the wider team to maintain safe, efficient clinical workflows
• Develop your own clinical interests with structured CPD and mentoring support

Working pattern:
36 hours per week
with a
set lunch hour daily

Weekend rota:1 in 3 Saturday mornings
, with
time off in lieu
.
OOH:
No overnight or weekend OOH duties
.

Flexible hours are noted as negotiable for the right person.
