Position Overview
Research Associate (Qualitative) – Centre for Trials Research (CTR), College of Biomedical & Life Sciences, Cardiff University.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Associate (Grade
6) to join a new interdisciplinary NIHR‑funded project "Improving eating disorder services for autistic people and people with ADHD". In this role you will conduct research within the fields of qualitative and realist research, contribute to the overall research performance of the Centre and University, and produce national/international research outputs. You will also engage with public, practice and policy stakeholders to develop relevant research proposals.

Support the overall research performance of the Centre and University.
Qualifications & Experience- Knowledge and understanding of realist research methods.
- Knowledge and understanding of qualitative research methods.
- Experience or interest in research involving autistic people, people with ADHD, and NHS eating disorder care.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively.
Full‑time (35 hours per week), fixed‑term from 1 July 2026 to 30 September 2027, subject to review and possible extension or conversion to permanent.
Location:
Heath Park Campus, with blended working arrangements available.
Salary: £41,064 – £46,049 per annum (Grade
6).
