This is an exciting opportunity to join the Research and Evaluation Division in Public Health Wales as a Data Analyst within the Evaluation Team working on the Optimising Pathways Improvement Programme (OPIP). This programme will transform obesity care across Wales through MyPath Cymru, a nationally coordinated, digitally enabled pathway designed to improve access to evidence-based weight management support, reduce health inequalities and create Wales’ first national obesity outcomes dataset.

A multifaceted evaluation is being undertaken as part of the programme, covering outcome, economic, process, implementation and equity components. Drawing on routine service data, national datasets and linked data sources, the Data Analyst will work as a core member of the evaluation team to help develop and implement the analytical approach and generate insights on clinical outcomes, service performance, equity of access, workforce impacts and cost-effectiveness across Wales.

This role sits within a supportive multidisciplinary team with a strong focus on evidence, data and evaluation. It offers an exciting opportunity to use data and analytics to support service transformation and improve population health outcomes across Wales.

We are Public Health Wales – the national public health agency in Wales. Our purpose is 'Working together for a healthier Wales'. We welcome applications which represent the rich diversity of the communities we serve and are supportive of flexible working arrangements, including part time roles and job sharing.
