We are seeking a dedicated and skilled chef de partie to join our vibrant kitchen team at the Kings arms Hawkshead working in our brand new state of the art all electric kitchen. As a chef de partie, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all work areas are tidy and compliant with food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
  • Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food preparation and handling.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
Experience
  • Previous experience in meal preparation or food preparation within a restaurant setting is preferred.
  • A solid understanding of culinary techniques and food safety practices is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the restaurant’s schedule.
