We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Steward to join our team and support the delivery of a high-quality dining service.

You will play an important role in ensuring meals and functions run smoothly, while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation and customer service.

• Provide a high standard of food and beverage service within the dining room.
• Prepare and maintain dining areas before, during and after meal service.
• Set tables and ensure the dining environment remains clean, tidy and welcoming.
• Clear tables efficiently, removing used crockery and debris promptly.
• Replenish condiments, bread rolls, tea, coffee and other refreshments throughout service.
• Assist with functions, events and refreshment services when required.
• Support the Head Steward with function preparation.
• Assist with basic food preparation, such as preparing condiments.
• Check crockery, cutlery and other service equipment are clean and ready for use.
• Assist with plate washing and general cleaning duties.
• Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH requirements.
• Ensure cleaning materials, chemicals, machinery and equipment are used and stored safely.
• Report any equipment defects or concerns to your line manager promptly.
• Maintain company quality and service standards.
• Support colleagues with additional duties as required.

• Comfortable working in a busy dining/service environment.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Organised and able to follow cleaning and service schedules.

• A good communicator who can follow instructions from the Head Steward or Manager.
