Retail Merchandiser

Overview

Do you have what it takes to make the shelves irresistible to shoppers? Do you have a knack for spotting what looks good and creating eye-catching displays? Do you have an eye for detail? If so, at eXPD8, we're looking for a Retail Merchandiser based in Tesco Cardiff in the CF14 area. You'll be an integral part of a field-based retail merchandising team, working on behalf of exciting household name brands.

You will be responsible for ensuring the fixtures are set up effectively, products and promotions are displayed attractively, and the shelves are well-stocked.

Role specifics:
Confirmed working days/hours:
Wednesdays – 7 hours during store opening hours (start time flexible). You will be responsible for POS implementation in the following stores.

• Confirm working days/hours and perform POS implementation in assigned stores:
  Tesco Cardiff Cardiff Tesco Extra (3 hrs), Whitchurch Express (1 hr), Tyn Y Parc Cardff Exp (1 hr), Maes Y Coed Crdif Exp (1 hr), Cardiff North Rd Exp (1 hr); plus ad hoc work as invited and agreed.
• Ensure merchandising standards are followed, store policies and health and safety guidance are observed, and planograms are implemented where provided to maintain consistency.
• Arrange and organise products on shelves and displays to maximise visibility and appeal; set up promotional displays and signage to communicate prices, discounts, and offers.
• Build and maintain good working relationships with in-store colleagues, particularly department and store managers, and provide accurate and timely feedback to client account teams via the feedback application.

• Experience of, or a passion for, merchandising, retail and/or customer service
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Take ownership of your work within set time frames, using initiative to find solutions
• Deliver high standards and service for clients; take pride in quality work
• Comfort with some manual handling; moving and arranging products from warehouse to shopfloor
• Willing to accept home deliveries of point of sale or stock items for some visits (paid extra)
• Confident using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos, and answer task questions
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car
