Tesco Colleague Extra

Role Overview

We are seeking a Tesco colleague to serve shoppers, support store operations, and deliver excellent customer service. The role requires involvement in a variety of daily activities, from customer interaction to stock replenishment.

Pay starts at £13.28 an hour, increasing to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply.

The minimum guaranteed hours are 16 per week, with flexibility to work a minimum of 12 hours. You must be available during the following windows:

• Wednesday 07:00 – 13:00
• Friday 08:00 – 17:00
• Saturday 09:00 – 18:00

Contracted hours will be scheduled within these times, with at least three weeks’ notice.

• Serve shoppers with great natural service and deliver a welcoming experience.
• Work across store areas including service, picking, and replenishment.
• Apply training on safety and customer service standards.
• Make customer‑centric decisions and maintain routines that meet customer needs.
• Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
• Manage product handling to maintain quality and ensure customers receive products in optimal condition.
• Assist with receiving deliveries into the store when required.
