Apprentice Supervisor

We are looking to recruit an Apprentice Supervisor for our shop in Cardiff Ely. The role is a permanent full‑time position, 5 days per week, with a variety of shifts.

• 35 hours per week, 5 days.
• Pay: £13.61 per hour, guaranteeing at least £476 per week.

• A Retail Skills (Management) Level 3 qualification.

• Work in a busy shop and learn how to be a great supervisor.
• Regular pre‑arranged visits from an assessor via Microsoft Teams.
• Regular completion of apprenticeship coursework.
• Completion of essential skills in communication and maths (if applicable).
• Assessment at the end of the 12‑month training.

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Give fast and friendly service at the tills, always offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into the freezers and onto shelves ready for customers.
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep our shops clean and tidy.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and support your manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide great service to customers.

• A bit of flexibility with shifts, including covering for colleagues on leave.
• Ensure all work set by our apprenticeship provider is completed on time and to the best of your ability.
• Pass an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if successful before joining.
