Enaifo Foodies Ltd is a growing multi-site retail business operating convenience and specialist food stores across Scotland. The company offers a combination of African and Caribbean food and grocery products alongside mainstream convenience goods, serving a diverse local customer base.

The company is seeking an experienced Area Retail Manager to provide operational leadership across multiple stores. Reporting directly to the Director/Owner, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing store performance, supporting retail teams, maintaining operational standards, and regularly travelling between different locations.

Experience managing retail stores across multiple locations is essential. Familiarity with African and Caribbean food and grocery products, including customer preferences, product ranges, and stock requirements, would be an advantage.

The Area Retail Manager will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the daily operations and performance of multiple retail outlets
• Developing, implementing, and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ensuring compliance with licensing, trading standards, health and safety, and company requirements
• Training, supporting, and managing retail teams and Store Supervisors
• Planning staffing requirements and recruiting non-sponsored employees
• Monitoring stock levels, inventory, procurement, and product availability
• Reviewing store performance, including sales, profitability, stock turnover, and loss prevention
• Managing African and Caribbean specialist product categories alongside mainstream convenience products
• Preparing operational reports and performance updates for the Director/Owner
• Working with the Business Analyst and store teams to identify operational improvements
• Addressing operational issues and maintaining consistent customer service standards
• Liaising with local authorities, licensing bodies, and relevant regulatory organisations
• Supporting the continued growth and development of the company’s multi-site retail operations

Applicants should have:

• Experience in retail management, preferably across multiple locations
• Experience managing or supervising retail teams
• Strong knowledge of stock control, procurement, and inventory management
• Experience with multi-site retail operations
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• The ability to analyse commercial and operational performance data
• Experience developing and implementing operational procedures (SOPs)

The following would be advantageous:

• Strong knowledge of African and Caribbean food and grocery products
• Experience in African, Caribbean, international food, or specialist grocery retail
• Experience working in a convenience or grocery store environment in Scotland or elsewhere in the UK
• Experience managing multiple retail sites

Expected start date: 1 October 2026

Salary: £41,700 per year
