Key Account Executive
North Midlands / Field Based
£45,000 - £50,000 + bonus opportunities

HSS Training are the UK’s leading provider of health, safety and technical training. We offer over 400 industry recognised training courses aimed at providing our customers with all the knowledge and skills they need to succeed safely.

We are looking for a Key Account Executive to join our growing team, taking ownership of a portfolio of customers and helping them achieve safer, more efficient ways of working through high-quality training and technical solutions. Working closely with internal teams, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering innovative training programmes while building long-term partnerships with clients across a range of industries.

A

typical day:
  • Building strong relationships with new and existing customers, acting as a trusted partner for their training and safety needs
  • Identifying opportunities by understanding client challenges, compliance requirements, and workforce development goals
  • Delivering tailored solutions – from standard courses to fully bespoke training programmes across multiple delivery methods
  • Growing your account base through proactive business development, cross-selling, and spotting new revenue opportunities
  • Collaborating with internal teams to design, price and deliver high-quality training and technical solutions
  • Following up with customers to ensure satisfaction, gather feedback, and develop long-term partnerships
What you’ll bring:
  • A consultative sales mindset, with the ability to uncover needs and translate them into commercial solutions
  • Experience in account management, business development, or technical/solutions sales
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging decision-makers
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to spot growth opportunities within accounts
  • The ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and opportunities effectively
  • Curiosity and willingness to build knowledge in health & safety, technical training, and industry trends
  • A proactive, resilient approach with a focus on delivering excellent customer outcomes
