Overview

Regional Business Development Manager – McCurrach on behalf of The Magnum Ice Cream Company.

Location:

Northwest England.

Full-time, fixed-term contract until end of December 2026, with opportunities for extension.

Salary up to £42k per annum (pro rata) plus performance‑related bonus, company car and fuel card.

We are looking for a leader who can motivate and engage a sales team to deliver results.

Responsibilities

As a Regional Business Development Manager, you will lead, coach, and develop a third‑party field sales team, ensuring delivery of results through in‑field coaching, structured engagement and strong execution of the Out of Home strategy. Your focus will include the following:

  • People management & team leadership
  • Ownership of team performance in delivering agreed objectives
  • Training, coaching & development
  • Working in partnership with recruitment teams to attract & retain talent
  • Commercial insight from the field, providing effective and timely reporting
  • Developing and executing regional plans to deliver business growth
  • Managing regional investment and capex budgets
  • Building strong cross‑functional and customer relationships

Our team operates within the Out of Home channel, working across independent outlets, wholesalers and route‑to‑market partners. You will work with existing customers and target new business opportunities across the region.

Qualifications

Ideally you will have experience in Out of Home, Convenience or Grocery channels. Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills, with a proactive, results‑driven approach to achieving targets are essential. Preference will be given to candidates with FMCG experience, though we are open to experienced managers from other sectors.

Experience leading a field‑based team, client‑facing environment and building strong relationships with key stakeholders is required. A full UK manual driving licence (no more than 6 points or previous bans) is mandatory; all offers will be subject to a successful DVLA licence check.
