We are looking for a motivated and confident Sales Executive to drive new business growth for our waste management company, Atlantic Recycling. This is a proactive, target-driven role focused on identifying new opportunities, engaging prospective customers through outbound sales and cold calling, building strong business relationships, and converting leads into long-term, valued clients. You'll play a key role in expanding our customer base while delivering excellent service and tailored waste management solutions.
Whatyou’ll be responsible for:
- Generate new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and prospecting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable recycling and waste management solutions.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts, and close sales opportunities.
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and environmental legislation.
- Building a strong portfolio of repeat customers
- Contributing to overall business growth
Skills, knowledge and aptitude
- Proven experience in sales, telesales, or business development, with experience in the waste management desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Confident in generating new business through cold calling, face-to-face meetings, and regular field visits.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Able to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Competent in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other standard business software.
- Resilient, persistent, and positive, with the confidence to overcome objections and secure new business.
- Commercially aware, target-focused, and motivated by achieving results.

Work Pattern:
Monday – Friday (8am – 5pm) with an unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes. This role may need occasional Saturday working in line with business needs
