As a security officer, the purpose of the role is to provide a welcoming security presence while ensuring the safety of staff, visitors, and patients. The security officer plays a key part in preventing theft, accidents, and incidents, as well as supporting CCTV operations. Key responsibilities include the protection of property and premises through regular patrols of buildings and grounds, checking alarms, fire doors, and secure areas, and managing access control and keys.
The security officer is also required to respond to incidents such as intruders, fire alarms, or suspicious activity, monitor CCTV systems, complete daily logs and incident reports, and provide emergency support when needed.
Key Responsibilities/ Requirements
- Conduct regular safety and security patrols across the site.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Support emergency protocols, including evacuations, searches, and incident response.
- Maintain vigilance at all times, reporting incidents promptly and preventing disruption.
- Accurately record all activity, incidents, and handover information.
- Valid SIA Licence
. - Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Strong command of English (written and verbal).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the security industry.
- Right to work in the UK.
- 5-year checkable work history/ Education.
- Willingness to undertake a company-provided fire safety course.
- Ability to commute within a reasonable distance.

- The role requires delivering exceptional customer service by providing excellent support to staff, patients, and visitors, offering clear directions, and engaging positively in all interactions. It also involves assisting in challenging situations, such as helping lost individuals or managing conflicts. Key duties include monitoring reception areas, supporting staff when dealing with unfamiliar visitors, responding promptly to callouts, liaising with emergency services, and consistently following company procedures.
To perform effectively, the position requires training in safeguarding, fire safety, conflict resolution, and manual handling.
