Electrical Apprentice

We are currently looking for an Electrical Apprentice to join our busy team in the Vale and Valleys Area. You will assist in a wide range of electrical works, including reactive repairs, empty property repairs, planned and cyclical maintenance, and various associated tasks within the Association’s properties. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality, right-first-time repairs to maintain homes to the highest standards.

You will be supported through structured training to help you develop your expertise and become a key member of our Maintenance Team.

Hours of Work: 40 Hours

• Assist with a wide range of electrical works within Association properties, including reactive repairs, empty property repairs, planned and cyclical maintenance, and related tasks.
• Deliver high-quality, right-first-time repairs to maintain homes to the highest standards.
• Participate in structured training to develop electrical expertise and progress within the Maintenance Team.

• Completed a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 2 years of electrical qualification.
• Some onsite experience in electrical installation.
• Keen interest in the construction industry.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and team-working skills.
• A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle daily.

• Salary: £15,704 to £25,396 (depending on experience).
• Training – Funding and support to attain Electrical qualifications.
• Holidays - 24 days annual leave, increasing to 28 days, plus bank holidays.
• Sick Pay - 1 month full pay plus 1 month half pay (after probation).
• Pension – Employer contribution matched up to 8%.
