We are recruiting a Social Work Assistant to work in Cardiff. The role is for final year Social Work students who will complete placement during this position while awaiting qualification. The position offers a permanent social worker role upon qualification.

In this role you will deliver child and family‑focused social work services using a strengths‑based approach (Signs of Safety). You will assess young people and families, write concise records and reports, and coordinate support across public services. You will work within locality teams, participate in regular supervision and contribute to the ‘Think Family’ approach.

• Social Work qualification (final year students eligible)
• Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced checks
• Registration with Social Care Wales
• Full valid driving licence and full use of a car
• Excellent assessment and record‑keeping skills
• Good team player with communication, organisational and IT skills
