Social Worker (Support for Families)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker (Support for Families) to join our dynamic team, focusing on providing crucial assistance to families facing various challenges.

The ideal candidate will play a vital role in helping families navigate social, emotional, and economic difficulties by offering tailored support, resources, and guidance to promote family well‐being and stability.

This position requires a deep understanding of family dynamics, child welfare, and community resources, as well as the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse family members.

The Social Worker will work collaboratively with other professionals, agencies, and community organizations to ensure families receive comprehensive and effective support.

Candidates must demonstrate empathy, strong communication skills, and the capacity to manage complex cases with sensitivity and professionalism.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs of families and develop individualized support plans.
  • Provide counseling and emotional support to family members facing challenges.
  • Connect families with relevant community resources and services.
  • Advocate on behalf of families in interactions with schools, healthcare providers, and legal systems.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of support plans and adjust as necessary.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential case records and documentation.
  • Conduct home visits and family interviews to gather pertinent information.
  • Facilitate access to crisis intervention services when required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Valid social work license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Proven experience working with families in social work or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of family dynamics, child welfare, and community resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage complex cases with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Competency in crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate case documentation and reports.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £29.45
