We are seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist to deliver Nuffield Health Rehabilitation Programmes utilising our unique pathway. The role involves remote (digital) and on‑site facilitation of exercise, emotional wellbeing support, healthy eating guidance, and goal setting to aid participants’ recovery.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and deliver live stream and in‑person group exercise classes for participants with varying abilities and physical function.
  • Promote self‑directed activity through pre‑recorded on‑demand classes and a journal to support participants’ self‑management after the 12‑week programme.
  • Re‑calibrate exercises and intensities based on regular evidence of improvement in effort and performance.
  • Identify any deterioration in participants; follow internal escalation processes, report within specified time frames, and capture outcome data to support the charitable purpose and monitor progress.
  • Engage in weekly one‑to‑one telephone coaching sessions with each participant, offering guidance on short‑term and long‑term goal setting, understanding restrictions, monitoring progress, providing emotional wellbeing support, and empowering self‑directed activity.
  • Demonstrate leadership and influencing skills, strong communication, organisation, and self‑motivation while working collaboratively onsite, centrally, and with the charity team and beneficiaries.
  • Maintain excellent IT skills to support digital facilitation and data recording.
Qualifications
  • Level3 Personal Trainer qualification (essential).
  • Experience working in a Rehabilitation Specialist position (preferred).
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation principles and practices.
  • Problem‑solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong organisational ability, effective decision‑making, and time/resource management.
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults.
  • Good English language and numerical skills.
  • BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation or related field (desired, not essential).
