Cardiff Council’s Supported Accommodation and Assessment Service provides accommodation, advice and support to vulnerable single people, families and young people experiencing housing need.
Services operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
About the jobService provides safe and supportive housing for young people aged 16-21 who are experiencing homelessness.
We operate across several locations within the city and place a strong focus on empowerment, stability and positive futures.
As an Assistant Supported Accommodation Officer
, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the service. Working alongside Supported Accommodation Officers and the wider team, you will provide direct support to young people, contribute to safeguarding practice, and help maintain high standards within each accommodation setting.
We are seeking motivated and proactive individuals with the ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships.
Experience of working with individuals who present complex behaviours, and an understanding of the challenges faced by homeless people and/or young people, would be advantageous.
Applicants should have experience of working directly with customers and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
Strong communication, administrative and IT skills are essential, along with the ability to manage and resolve disputes constructively.
The ability to speak a community language would be an advantage.
