We are excited to be opening a brand-new 2-bed Response Home in Shropshire and are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and inspiring Registered Home Manager to lead this innovative service from its very beginning.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the culture, practice, and development of a new therapeutic home designed to provide responsive, short-term residential support for children and young people who have experienced trauma, adversity, and disruption in their lives.

New Reflexions provides specialist care, education, and therapeutic services for children and young people who have experienced trauma, emotional distress, and complex life experiences.

Our Response Services are designed to provide safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environments where children can receive immediate support, build resilience, and begin to make positive changes in their lives.

Working alongside experienced residential staff, education professionals, and clinical teams, we are committed to helping every young person achieve their potential and experience positive, meaningful relationships.

As the Registered Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, management, and development of our new 2-bed Response Home.

You will play a key role in establishing a warm, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, compliance, and therapeutic practice are consistently maintained.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and inspiring a residential team to deliver outstanding care and support.
• Creating a positive, child-centred culture focused on achieving excellent outcomes.
• Adherence to Adventure Activities Licencing Authority (AALA) requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations, and company policies.
• Working closely with internal therapists, education teams, social workers, and external professionals.
• Supporting children who may be experiencing crisis, transition, or uncertainty.
• Overseeing care planning, risk management, and safeguarding practices.
• Managing staffing, recruitment, supervision, training, and performance.
• Monitoring quality assurance processes and driving continuous improvement.
• Promoting activity-based and therapeutic interventions that help young people build confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
• Preparing for and leading Ofsted inspections with a commitment to achieving positive outcomes.

We are seeking an experienced, resilient, and child-focused leader who is passionate about transforming the lives of children and young people.

You will be:

• Minimum NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete if working towards).
• Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager professional within children's residential services.
• Strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding requirements.
• Experience managing or supervising residential childcare teams.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
• Access to your own transport.
• Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

• Previous experience of opening, developing, or improving children's residential services.
• Experience working within therapeutic or trauma-informed environments.
• Positive experience of Ofsted inspections and quality assurance processes.
