Family Team Leader; Share

Cardiff Family Advice and Support is an innovative and progressive service within the directorate of Children’s Services in Cardiff Council. Accredited with a Families First Quality Award, the service provides high quality information, advice and assistance for children, young people, families and professionals across the city.

The service utilises a family centred, strengths based and inclusive approach, to identify the most appropriate support that will meet the wellbeing needs of both individuals and the family as a whole. The teams within the service work collaboratively with a range of professionals and partners to ensure support is at the right level and at the right time.

We are seeking to appoint a Grade 7 Family Help Team Leader for 14.5 hours per week as part of a job share arrangement. The successful candidate will lead, develop and support a team of Family Help Advisors to deliver bespoke early intervention and prevention support to families referred to the team. The postholder will liaise and communicate with a range of service users, including families and professionals, and will also work alongside the Service Manager to support the continued development and quality of service delivery.

The right individual will also be able to recognise whether an individual is at risk and be able to consult and liaise with Social Workers and with other professionals or partner agencies as required.

This role is part-time at 14.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. The advertised salary is based on a full-time role (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). The actual salary will be lower than the advertised salary because of the part-time hours and weeks worked.

Appointment to this post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including a Child Workforce Barred List check.
