The Opportunity:

We’re looking for an experienced Software Architect (Java & Cloud) to join a global technology team building the next generation of financial and trading platforms. This role combines hands-on development with high-level architecture
, ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions.

You’ll work closely with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to design distributed systems, drive adoption of modern architectural practices, and mentor others while still being involved in coding and technical decision-making.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and maintain architecture for backend systems and distributed services
• Develop and optimise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
• Build and scale event-driven systems with Kafka and messaging platforms
• Collaborate with teams on AWS-native solutions (ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS)
• Work with Postgre

• Ensure performance, scalability, and availability of mission-critical systems
• Mentor engineers and contribute to best practices in architecture and coding

Core

Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of backend development with Java (Java 11/17)
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices
• Experience designing distributed and event-driven systems
• Good knowledge of AWS (preferred) or other cloud platforms (Azure/GCP)
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (Postgre
  
  SQL, MySQL)
• Familiarity with No

• Exposure to CI/CD, scalability, and infrastructure best practices

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• Familiarity with LLM-assisted tools (AI for coding, refactoring, documentation)
