Salary up to £68,000 pa + up to 20% annual bonus

Established Fin Tech in Cardiff have an opportunity for a Senior Java Software Engineer to join growing team.

As part of a collaborative Agile engineering team, you'll work on a mix of greenfield development and product enhancements, helping shape scalable, high-quality solutions while influencing engineering best practices.

Role:

Developing REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot
Building robust, scalable backend solutions in an Agile environment
Contributing to automated testing, CI/CD and end-to-end feature delivery
Collaborating with Product Owners and mentoring junior developers

Skills / experience:

Commercial experience with Java (8+) and Spring Boot
Strong SQL skills (Postgres or Oracle preferred)
Experience with Git, Jenkins (or similar CI tools) and automated testing
Passion for writing clean, maintainable code and solving complex problems

Nice to have:

Docker, AWS/Azure/GCP, React or Angular, Selenium/WDIO, Financial Services experience, or exposure to AI-assisted development.
