Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division. Supporting some of our well-known brands such as Kingsmill, Pataks, Blue Dragon, Jordans, Ryvita and Silver Spoon, amongst others. We deliver Shared Service activities across a wide range of disciplines including Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR and IS.

Requirements
  • Clean full UK driving licence
  • Clean full Class 2 licence
  • A love for the open road and early starts (2am‑4am)
  • Ability to lift and carry products with care
  • A flexible and conscientious attitude to adjust to the needs of the business and deliver excellent results
Key Accountabilities
  • To comply with all legal requirements for HGV drivers
  • To always drive company vehicles to high standards of safety and courtesy, including compliance with the Highway Code and any company standards
  • To apply SAFED driving techniques, in order to maximise levels of safety and fuel efficiency
  • To comply with all company delivery and collection procedures, e.g. picking from bulk order load, order adjustment, health and safety
  • To comply with company standards for customer service
  • To report immediately to the FLM any variations to required standards of product quality and service levels
  • To follow company standards and procedures for working with, and accounting for, company products and equipment, e.g. bread baskets, pallets, store returns and buffer stock.
  • To comply with all company requirements for driver training and communications
  • To carry out any duties, as required by the company, e.g. unloading, refuelling and washing vehicles and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
