Requirements

Clean Full UK driving licence
Clean Full Class 2 licence
A love for the open road and early starts (2 am – 4 am)
Ability to lift and carry products with care
A flexible and conscientious attitude to adjust to the needs of the business and deliver excellent results

Key Accountabilities

To comply with all legal requirements for HGV drivers
To always drive company vehicles to high standards of safety and courtesy, including compliance with the Highway Code and any company standards
To apply SAFED driving techniques, in order to maximise levels of safety and fuel efficiency
To comply with all company delivery and collection procedures, e.g. picking from bulk order load, order adjustment, health and safety
To comply with company standards for customer service
To report immediately to the FLM any variations to required standards of product quality and service levels
To follow company standards and procedures for working with, and accounting for, company products and equipment, e.g. bread baskets, pallets, store returns and buffer stock
To comply with all company requirements for driver training and communications
To carry out any duties, as required by the company, e.g. unloading, refuelling and washing vehicles and in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
