Caretaker – Aberporth Primary School

Responsibilities

• Maintain site security, including locking/unlocking premises, alarm systems, and keyholder duties.
• Carry out daily safety checks and report hazards or concerns.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs, and monitor heating and facilities systems.
• Support cleanliness and environmental standards, including waste management and outdoor upkeep.
• Undertake porterage duties such as moving equipment and supporting room setups.
• Complete required logs and follow school procedures.
• Promote and uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times.

Flexible hours, with daily on‑site presence during school hours required. Availability for emergencies and some early/late duties is essential.

• Experience in caretaking, maintenance, or facilities.
