OverviewAre you a hands‑on Maintenance Engineer with electrical or multi‑skilled experience looking for a senior role where you can take ownership of a key site and keep critical plant running day to day? On offer is a long term opportunity within a renewable energy business where you will be the main maintenance lead on site, working closely with the General Manager in a small team environment.
This company operates an anaerobic digestion facility in West Wales. They process food, liquid, and agricultural waste and convert it into biogas, which is used to generate electricity for the National Grid. This plays an important role in supporting renewable energy and sustainable waste processing in the local area.
In this role, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance and reliability of the plant. You will carry out fault finding, planned maintenance, and reactive repairs across a range of mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring key systems such as CHP engines and plant machinery remain fully operational. The responsibilities include:
- Carry out daily checks and basic fault finding on CHP engines
- Maintain and repair plant equipment including pumps, motors, valves, sensors, and control systems
- Support planned and reactive maintenance across the site
- Use and update maintenance systems to schedule and record work
- Work with suppliers and contractors when specialist support is needed
- Manage spare parts and ensure stock levels are maintained
- Support site improvement and maintenance projects
- Maintenance engineering experience in an industrial environment
- Electrical or multi‑skilled background preferred
- Experience in waste, agriculture, food, wastewater, or similar industries
- Confident working hands‑on and taking ownership of equipment
- Strong fault finding and problem‑solving skills
- CHP or SCADA experience would be an advantage
- Must live within approximately 30 miles or 1 hour of Cardigan
