Shop Volunteer (Till & Customer Service - Cardigan)

Your local British Red Cross shop offers a variety of activities for volunteers. From sorting stock and preparing donated items for sale to providing outstanding customer service to donors and customers, this role gives you the chance to learn new skills and share existing ones.

We are currently looking for volunteers for Till & Customer Service. If you have a positive outlook, enjoy speaking to new people, and are confident in learning how to use a shop till, this may be for you.

• Using the shop till to take payment for items.
• Promoting Gift Aid to maximise fundraising potential.
• Helping and advising customers.
• Undertaking general activities in the shop.
• Creating exciting window displays.
• Sorting donations for sale in the shop.
• Helping customers on the shop floor.

• No previous experience required.
• A warm smile and friendly outlook.
• Complete training (provided) prior to starting.
• Good communication skills.

• Meet new people and be part of a dynamic and inclusive team.
• Gain or pass on retail experience.
• Reasonable pre‑agreed travel expenses, including for attending training.

Minimum commitment:
No fixed hours or minimum commitment. You agree to hours you can attend and inform us of any changes. A few hours during the week or weekend, as agreed with the shop manager.
