Job Overview
We are looking for two motivated, friendly individuals to work as part of a team that provides a great experience to everyone that visits our leisure facilities. As a Physical Activity Instructor, based at Teifi Leisure Centre, you'll lead on the delivery of our exercise programmes that include fitness classes, gym inductions, personal training, holiday programmes and the Fit4
Life project. We are seeking an individual who thrives on getting the best out of others by helping them to learn new skills and meet their full potential. As a council we are embarking on an exciting journey which will see a number of our Leisure Centres become Wellbeing Centres and these roles provide an excellent opportunity to be part of that journey as we contribute to the promotion of positive health and wellbeing of our citizens.
As a Physical Activity Instructor you will assist the manager in the provision of an efficient and effective service and on a day to day basis will:
- Be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering our fitness programme that includes fitness classes, gym sessions, personal training and gym inductions.
- Co-ordinate and deliver our holiday programmes which includes sessions for infants, juniors and teenagers in partnership with the Active Young People Team.
- Assist with the marketing and promotion of the centre and the benefits of health and wellbeing.
- Work alongside the NERS team to deliver the 'Fit4
Life' project. - Handle customers and parents with questions and queries regarding our exercise programmes.
We are committed to providing a bilingual service to our customers so a degree of fluency in the Welsh language is desirable for this post. Due to our opening hours you will be required to work evenings and weekends as part of a shift pattern.
