Director of Quality Assurance & Logistics

Coastal Machine & Supply, Inc. is seeking a Director of Quality Assurance & Logistics to lead and scale our quality systems, compliance framework, and logistics operations as we continue our growth in mission-critical manufacturing.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring product conformity, regulatory compliance, and on-time delivery—while building a disciplined, data-driven quality and logistics organization that supports long-term scalability.

About the Role:

- The Director of Quality Assurance & Logistics owns the Quality Management System (QMS) and Logistics function end-to-end. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Sales, and Executive Leadership to ensure Coastal consistently meets customer, regulatory, and operational expectations.

- You will lead Quality Assurance, Safety, Shipping & Receiving, and Compliance, while driving continuous improvement across audits, corrective actions, supplier quality, and delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and continuously improve the Quality Management System (APIQ1/AS9100 / ISO-based)
• Own internal, customer, and third-party audits and corrective action systems
• Establish quality strategy, metrics, and governance across the organization
• Oversee Shipping & Receiving, logistics workflows, and OTD performance
• Drive root cause analysis, CoPQ reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Partner with Manufacturing and QC leadership to ensure inspection rigor and process control
• Build, mentor, and scale high-performing QA and Logistics teams
• Serve as the senior point of contact for customer quality and compliance matters
