Summary:
The Technician Class C position is responsible for performing most assigned tasks with minimal
supervision. This role requires a solid foundation of mechanical knowledge and a strong willingness
to learn from more experienced colleagues. The Technician Class C position is distinguished from
the Service Technician D class by the reduced level of supervision needed to complete tasks.
Candidates for this role should demonstrate an ability to work independently while still seeking
guidance when necessary.

Essential Duties:

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
• Communicate with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order
• Installs optional equipment as specified by the customer or dealer
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor
• Maintains and is accountable for all dealership‑owned tools and manuals
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management
• Attends and completes all training as required by the company
• Maintains 85% efficiency or higher
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Degree from an accredited Diesel school; or six months to one‑year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• OEM Certifications Preferred
• Must have a valid Driver License (CDL Preferred)

Work Environment:
The employees will be exposed to moving parts and electrical current. This position will also have
employees exposed to grease, chemicals, dust, and dirt. Employees must also be able to lift at
least 50 pounds and require the employee to frequently work in a crouched position or lying on the
back, on mechanic's dolly beneath motor vehicles. The workload of this position is often performed in a
non‑climate‑controlled environment.
