Radiology Tech - Per Diem Job Caribou area,Maine USA,Healthcare

Position Summary

Responsible for the patients of the practice, ensuring smooth daily operations. Tech is responsible for providing accurate documentation and summarization of the examinations and recommendations as part of the patient appointment.

Essential Functions

Completes diagnostic radiology procedures following departmental protocols.

Confidently explains diagnostic radiology to patients.

Accurately and consistently completes required Diagnostic Radiology paperwork.

Maintains current standards of practice through review of current literature, including information on best practice for images.

Assists department supervisor as needed for daily, monthly, quarterly quality control as needed.

Communicates examination outcomes to provider appropriately.

Assist department supervisor with of inventory specific to radiology.

Complies with local, state and federal laws and regulations.

Remains available to the physician during all patient appointments.

Completes the superbill and/or the check-out form, at the direction of the physician.

Completes proper sterilization of all office instruments and equipment as necessary.

Assesses all clinical calls with provider to determine acuity.

Maintains smooth flow in daily schedule between providers and patients.

Education and Experience Requirements

Licenses: Active State of Maine Licensed Radiology Technologist
Blood borne pathogens, SDS, and other OSHA required training programs.
Must maintain BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
