Clerical Officer
North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust – Eden Breast Screening Unit, Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.

We are seeking a motivated Clerical Officer to provide administrative support within the Breast Screening Administration Office. Responsibilities include reception duties, booking and managing patient appointments, responding to patient enquiries, handling medical records and imaging information, and accurate data entry using computer systems.
Key duties also involve liaising with NHS professionals, support staff, and the public to ensure an efficient and effective service. The successful candidate will be cheerful, versatile, and a supportive team member with excellent communication skills, organisational competence, and attention to detail.
Main duties of the job- Reception responsibilities.
- Booking and managing patient appointments.
- Responding to patient enquiries.
- Handling medical records and imaging information.
- Accurate data entry using computer systems.
- Regular liaison with NHS professionals and the public.

Qualifications- GCSE English (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
- NVQ2 in administration or equivalent.
- ECDL or equivalent.
- Good organisational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage workload within defined guidelines.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Dealing with the general public.
- Use of filing systems.
