The Medical Directorate Support Service is looking for a dynamic, friendly and organised administration assistant to work within the Medical Directorate Team based at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. The role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the Medical Directorate function and teams.
Main duties of the jobProvide comprehensive administration service across the medical directorate portfolios, support portfolio related tasks, and collaborate with a small team to ensure smooth operations.

Person Specification Qualifications- NVQ 3 in administration or equivalent.
- Previous administrative experience in a customer focused organisation.
- Proven experience of working as part of a team.
- Operating word processing and computer packages.
- Experience in planning, organising and servicing meetings, including minute taking.
- Continuing professional development with portfolio.
- Awareness of Equality issues.
- Knowledge of working time regulations.
- Knowledge of Data Protection legislation.
- Use of Outlook to arrange and manage multiple diaries.
- Experience of admin and clerical role.
- Proficient in IT / Microsoft packages.
- Experience of exporting, collating, analysing and drafting information into presentable formats.
- Knowledge of regulatory functions related to doctors including Junior Doctor Contract.
- Approachable, ability to work as part of a team.
- Work to processes and task management prioritisation.
- Ability to work accurately, prepare routine written correspondence.
- Capability to build and maintain effective relationships, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced IT skills including proven abilities in using Microsoft Office.
