Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 base plus comprehensive package

A well-established specialist contractor with a turnover in excess of £10 million is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team in Carlisle. The business delivers high‑quality interior fit‑out, refurbishment, and specialist finishing projects across the UK, with a strong reputation for quality, repeat business, and long‑standing client relationships.

• Manage the commercial aspects of interior fit‑out and refurbishment projects from pre‑construction through to final account.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, valuations and cost reports.
• Produce accurate CVRs and financial forecasts.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation and accounts.
• Identify and manage variations and change‑control procedures.
• Support the operational team to ensure projects are delivered on budget and to programme.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with risk management and contractual matters.
• Ensure commercial processes and procedures are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Strong background in interior fit‑out and refurbishment projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good knowledge of standard forms of contract.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Proactive and organised approach to work.
• Full UK driving licence.
