Location: Carlisle
Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 base plus comprehensive package
About the CompanyA well-established specialist contractor with a turnover in excess of £10 million is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team in Carlisle. The business delivers high‑quality interior fit‑out, refurbishment, and specialist finishing projects across the UK, with a strong reputation for quality, repeat business, and long‑standing client relationships.
The Role- Manage the commercial aspects of interior fit‑out and refurbishment projects from pre‑construction through to final account.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, valuations and cost reports.
- Produce accurate CVRs and financial forecasts.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation and accounts.
- Identify and manage variations and change‑control procedures.
- Support the operational team to ensure projects are delivered on budget and to programme.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with risk management and contractual matters.
- Ensure commercial processes and procedures are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Strong background in interior fit‑out and refurbishment projects.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good knowledge of standard forms of contract.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
- Proactive and organised approach to work.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Basic salary of £45,000 - £65,000 depending on experience.
