Quantity Surveyor
Carlisle (Office & Site Based)
£60,000 - £70,000 + Company Car/Allowance + Bonus + Clear Progression + Funded Training + 33 Days Holiday
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established, family-run construction business with an outstanding reputation for staff retention and career development.
The business has a strong pipeline of work across civil engineering, groundworks, design & build, public sector and residential projects, and continues to secure major frameworks and long-term contracts.
The Role- Managing the commercial aspects of multiple construction and civil engineering projects
- Preparing valuations, cost reports and commercial analysis
- Contract administration and management
- Evaluating, appointing and managing subcontractors
- Identifying, pricing and negotiating variations
- Attending progress meetings and stakeholder meetings
- Monitoring project budgets and financial performance
- Working closely with site, engineering and procurement teams
- Ensuring compliance with contractual, legal and quality requirements
- Office and site-based role
- Quantity Surveying experience within construction, civils, groundworks or infrastructure
- Good contract knowledge
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Commercially aware with strong negotiation skills
- Degree qualified preferred but not essential
- Motivated individual looking for long-term career progression
- Full UK Driving Licence
