Customer Service Advisor

Location:

Carlisle

Contract:

Temporary to Permanent

Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 5:30pm
Salary:
Up to £25,970 per annum

NXT Recruitment is supporting a fast-paced, well-established business in Carlisle that is looking to add a Customer Service Advisor to its growing team.

This is not a quiet role. It’s busy, reactive, and sometimes chaotic, and it needs someone with personality, resilience, and energy. You’ll suit this role if you enjoy variety, can think on your feet, and genuinely care about delivering a great experience for customers.

The role

This position sits at the heart of the operation. You’ll handle customer enquiries across multiple channels, manage orders, solve problems, and keep everything moving. It’s about balancing pace with accuracy while maintaining a consistently high level of customer service.

You’ll work closely with internal teams, support sales activity, and help ensure customers feel informed and supported throughout their journey.

What you’ll be doing
  • Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently across multiple communication channels
  • Handling enquiries and resolving issues fully and professionally
  • Providing clear and confident information about products, services, and processes
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer records
  • Building positive working relationships with customers and internal teams
  • Managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Working towards personal and team KPIs, with a mindset of continuous improvement
  • Supporting key accounts using a range of systems and software
