Working as part of a busy and supportive team, you will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently while providing exceptional customer service throughout the order lifecycle. DAY TO DAY Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently from receipt through to completion. Acting as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone and email. Providing customers with updates regarding new and repeat orders, lead times, and deliveries.
Liaising with internal departments including design, production, logistics, and sales to ensure smooth order fulfilment. Managing customer records and maintaining accurate information within internal systems. Raising order for new parts and update product list. Resolving customer queries and investigating any order-related issues. Monitoring order progress and proactively communicating updates to customers. Supporting the wider team with administrative duties as required.
WHAT WE’D LOVE TO SEE Previous customer service experience within an office-based environment. Proven experience in order processing, sales administration, or customer order management. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems. A proactive individual, with strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Experience with in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
