Private Client Tax Senior

A leading firm of Chartered Accountants based in Carlisle is seeking a talented Private Client Tax Senior to join their growing team, offering flexible working, a company pension, and much more. As Private Client Tax Senior, you will manage a varied portfolio of private clients, providing high quality tax compliance and advisory services while playing a key role in supporting the wider tax team and building strong client relationships.

What is the day-to-day of the role:

• Manage a portfolio of private clients, ensuring accurate and timely completion of self-assessment tax returns
• Provide tax planning advice on matters including capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and income tax
• Liaise directly with clients and HMRC, building and maintaining strong professional relationships
• Support and mentor junior members of the tax team, reviewing work where required
• Identify opportunities to add value for clients through proactive tax planning

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
• ATT and/or CTA qualified, or qualified by experience
• Strong technical knowledge of private client tax matters
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage a busy and varied portfolio
